Safety

First-date advice, and telling us about someone.

How do I stay safe on a first date?

  • Meet at the venue, and stay there. That's what it's for.
  • Tell a friend who you're meeting, where, and when you expect to be done.
  • Get yourself there and home — don't accept a lift from someone you've only just met.
  • Keep your drink with you, and don't drink more than you'd want to.
  • Leave whenever you want. You don't owe anyone the rest of the evening.

Remember that Sarx checks identity and age, not anyone's history.

How do I report someone?

In the app: open your conversation with them, tap Report, choose what happened and add anything you want us to know. Also block is on unless you turn it off. A person on the Sarx team reads every report, and they won't be told who reported them.

For anything that didn't happen in a conversation — at a venue, or with someone you can't find in your Messages — write to us and choose Safety.

How do I block someone?

Report them with Also block on — it's on by default. Once they're blocked you won't see each other again, and the conversation closes for both of you. To end things without a report, unmatch instead.

What isn't allowed on Sarx?

The short version: one real account, under your own name and face. No harassment, no scams, no sexual or explicit profiles, no content of anyone without their consent, and no selling sex. The full list is the acceptable use policy.
